CerebusTV and the Cerebus3D Team  

If you've been enjoying the CGI animation clips interspersed with the broadcasting of "Cerebus TV" here is a listing of the credits for the indevidual people from the company "What Comics Entertainment" responsible. The piece below appeared, as you can see, during the countdown to the launch of CerebusTV.

The animation above was done by Romain Lapierre, who also helped create the Cerebus 3D model with Brian Buchmann and Christophe Brebion. Cerebus was rigged by Daniel Edwards. The moat, skyline, fire animation, lettering, CTV sunburst effect and overall composition was by Oliver Simonsen, who also helped with the website design: doing the layout and updating the auction and making the bidding scroll on the bottom. The website would be updated again by Margaret Liss, who currently together with KTS are the permanent website designers.


In Episode 2 Oliver Simonsen did the story board and directed a live-action segment called "Jaka@ Meltdown Comics: a behind-the-scenes-look-at-the-making-of the Cerebus Film" starring Danielle Larson and also featuring Jeff Brumagin and Dave Ryan. Carma wrote the script. Music score supplied by Kevin MacLeod . Jodi Sisson and Candance supplied lights etc Big Thanks to "Meltdown Comics" for letting us shoot there and move stuff around.

This "mini-film" received great praise. Robin in the UK said:

[of all the episodes one of the things that] "...has firmly stuck in my mind is that captivating black and white advert with "Jaka" not least for the haunting piano piece played throughout (by Kevin MacLeod) but also of course for the genuine emotion and acting ability of Danielle Larson which was truly something else!"


Brian Buchmann, lead character modeller, was featured in a flawlessly excuted interview segment directed by Marcello H. Carnevali.


When it comes to the pure funny none of us had Wayne Watrach beat (John Scrudder's favorite) -who shared his process in modeling the Cerebus "Market Place" environment.


In Episode 2 the excellent animation of Paul Williams was featured. Skeleton modeled by Erik Frederick.. Dungeon modelling, lights and texturing by Fabio Basile. Dramatic lighting, fog, swinging chandeliers by Ajiesh Thuvanoor. Again, Cerebus 3D model by Brian Buchmann, Romain Lapierre and Christophe Brebion.Cerebus and Skeleton rigged by Daniel Edwards.


In Episode 4 there was a showcase with 3 TVs flying out of the logo: while there simultanously was ongoing animation shown within the TVs. The animation and compositing of this was done by Oliver Simonsen. The horse animation within the TVs was by: Romain Lapierre, who also helped create the Cerebus 3D model with Brian Buchmann and Christophe Brebion. In Episode 4 Ian Minshull co-directed and animated this piece: creating the Shadow Beast in the process as well as doing it's animation and providing all the lighting. Even adding extra rigging and eye texture to the Cerebus model, which again was modelled by Brian Buchmann, Romain Lapierre and Christophe Brebion.Cerebus overall rigged by Daniel Edwards. Castle Courtyard Background modelled and textured by Fabio Basile -with main structure modelled by Jason Spikes.
